Issue Briefs

The purpose of the MICIC Issue Briefs is to provide practice-oriented briefs to inform the preparation of Principles, Guidelines, and Effective Practices. The Issue Briefs, which are being produced in close consultation with working group members, are oriented toward various stakeholders and aim to provide clear, practical, and accessible guidance. The focus of the Briefs includes areas identified through the consultations that require further analysis, interpretation, or clarification.

Overall, the Briefs are intended to be practice oriented, aimed at explaining the Principles, Guidelines, and Effective Practices in accessible terms and through concrete examples. The Briefs also aim to provide clear recommendations on how to integrate protection and assistance of migrants in countries in crisis into practitioners and policy makers planning and decision making.
