The Regional Consultation for countries in West and Central Africa was held on 8 and 9 December 2015 in Dakar, Senegal. The meeting provided an opportunity for the participating government delegates and representatives of regional and international organizations and civil society  to exchange views and identify best practices on how to assist migrants in countries experiencing crises.

The meeting was organized by ICMPD in collaboration with the United States Department of State and the European Commission, with funding from the EU’s Global Public Goods and Challenges programme.

Civil society organized a one-day consultation prior to the official event, and presented the results during the governmental consultation. For more information on the civil society consultation, see: http://gcmigration.org/micic/.
