Empowering Cambodian Officials: Successful TOT Training in Siem Reap Boosts Crisis Response Skills
On June 11, 2024, H.E. Mr. Cheuy Vichet, President of the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR), inaugurated a Training of Trainers (TOT) session in Siem Reap organized by IOM Cambodia. The programme, supported by the PRM fund, attended by 15 officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA.IC) and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT), focused on improving assistance and protection for Cambodian nationals affected by crises abroad. Post-training assessments showed significant results: 100% of participants scored above 50%, 81% above 70%, and 6% above 90%, with an average knowledge growth of 19%. This underscores the training's critical role in equipping officials to better support Cambodians in crisis situations overseas.
